Multiple Sclerosis Course for General Practitioners

On-line course of 6 modules. Each module contains learning sections of a theoretical nature followed by a self-assessment questionnaire. At the end of each module, a test is carried out, which allows to pass to the next module. With additional funding, a 3-day rotation may be requested at Cemcat, which includes clinical activity, day-hospital visit, neurorehabilitation and clinical research.

Objectives

The objective of this course is to provide medical professionals not specialized in multiple sclerosis with information and useful tools to:
- Early detection of patients with suspected multiple sclerosis, identifying signs and symptoms that point to a demyelinating event
- A knowledge of the range and characteristics of the background and symptomatic treatments currently available
- Management of patients with this pathology from diagnosis to treatment through clinical monitoring
